Ditto TV gives you access to hundreds of Indian television shows from your Windows PC.

Ditto TV is a streaming video service aim at South Asian viewers in general and Indian viewers in particular. Although most of the content is of Indian origin or from neighboring countries, Ditto TV hosts Western television programs and movies as well. This include some very popular American television shows, such as The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men.

Many of the television shows available on Ditto TV are televised live. There is also a back library, which the service refers to as Catch Up. This lets you watch episodes that have already aired. How far back the catch-up library varies from one show to the next.

Ditto TV uses a technique called adaptive streaming. If a show is available in HD, then it will stream it to you in HD if your bandwidth can support. If not, it will reduce quality as necessary to achieve a steady stream. It can even adjust this on the fly, which is nice if your Internet service is a bit unpredictable. This is an important feature because so many people who use Ditto TV lack fast or reliable Internet.

It is impossible to review the Ditto TV app without discussing the service. The service requires a subscription on a month-by-basis. The app will not do anything for you if your subscription is not active. Note that there is a 2-day trial available for first-time accounts. During this trial, you can watch as much live and recorded content as you like to determine if the service and program are right for you.
